Prayer for the Government Mountain
igent design of a sovereign God, and
not the ignorance that define the limitations of our
understanding of life.
May this nation, our governments, support life and life
more abundantly.
Let pro-life be on the heart of every public policy; let
proper healthcare be the hallmark of every health
institution.
As a Transcendent Authority, you decreed that,
Ps 89:14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation
of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.
So today, we decree and declare, and we establish
through this sound that Justice and righteousness has
returned to our nation, from the ground up, and from
the inside out.
Father, as a people, we embrace a biblical worldview
and we pray that your revelation would trump human
reasoning and there would be a cry in the heart of our
leaders for truth in our nation.
I close this petition with your sovereign promise:
Ps 2
Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers
take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His
Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their
cords from us.”
4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall
hold them in derision.
5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress
them in His deep displeasure:
6 “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.”
7 “I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You
are My Son, Today I have begotten You.
8 Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your
inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash
them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’”
10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you
judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the
way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all
those who put their trust in Him.

National Day of Prayer 2022
Dear Pastor and Church Leader,
Since 1987, many members of the Body of Christ in Erie have participated in some way in the National Day of Prayer. Some have volunteered as Bible readers in the 24 hour program, some have led in prayer or in worship during the main 1 hour program on the first Thursday of May in downtown Erie. Our intention has always been to hold the event in the public square in order to be a visible witness, honoring the Lord and His Word, and communicating openly with Him in public.
The last few years, due to COVID, we have had to be more creative in our programs but have continued, and asked the Lord to uniquely guide and direct us in our event demonstrations. This year as we prayed, what settled in our hearts as a good strategy was to go back in to the church and ask leaders to hold their own event, with their congregations in their own building, some time on Thursday, May 5th .
We are both citizens of the United States and the Kingdom of God, and this is probably the most pivotal time in history most of us have experienced. Our values as a nation founded “under God”, in agreement that the Ten Commandments and other biblical values have served as a good guides for our civil and moral laws, are under direct attack. We want to be sober and vigilant in our prayers and also obedient in our actions as He directs.
So, I am asking that you and your church leaders would hold a National Day of Prayer, on Thursday, May 5th or another day that works in your calendar, devoted to prayer for our nation as we follow the prayer outline “together”. The National Day of Prayer Guides and many other resources are available at https://www.nationaldayofprayer.org/ . Please let me know if you are able and willing to participate at 814-881-0117 or stephlindy@roadrunner.com or if you have any questions or ideas you would want to share.
I believe that the church in Erie is strong and the Lord continues to bring opportunities to knit us together to make us stronger.
Yours in Christ,
Stephanie Lindenberger
